NOTE: Left unchecked, Liberal-progressive ideology has led the nation to the edge of the abyss. In the last election the voters sent a message to Washington D.C. that enough is enough, but by approving the latest budget extension, Congress has decided to ignore the will of the people.
“The thought so impressed me that I couldn’t forget it, in fact, it created a picture in my mind which eventually became the End of the Trail.”
Taking this metaphor one step further is to liken the enduring icon of the American West to everything which made American the greatest country on earth. From freedom and liberty with a history dating back to the Magna Carta of 1066, to the era of American Exceptionalism following the implementation of the U.S. Constitution in 1789, hopefully we have reached the end of the trail as a country with failed liberal progressive ideas that have brought us to edge of the abyss.
NOTE: On September 17, 1787, the Constitution was signed. As dictated by Article VII, the document would not become binding until it was ratified by nine of the 13 states. Beginning on December 7, five states–Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Georgia, and Connecticut–ratified it in quick succession. However, other states, especially Massachusetts, opposed the document, as it failed to reserve undelegated powers to the states and lacked constitutional protection of basic political rights, such as freedom of speech, religion, and the press. In February 1788, a compromise was reached under which Massachusetts and other states would agree to ratify the document with the assurance that amendments would be immediately proposed. The Constitution was thus narrowly ratified in Massachusetts, followed by Maryland and South Carolina. On June 21, 1788, New Hampshire became the ninth state to ratify the document, and it was subsequently agreed that government under the U.S. Constitution would begin on March 4, 1789. Also in June, Virginia ratified the Constitution, followed by New York in July.
America is a land of immigrants, and contrary to popular believe that the Europeans “stole the country” from the so-call Native Americans (the American Indians as we who are supposedly politically incorrect often call them), let us start with the assumption that the term Native American is meaningless unless we call all those born here native. That would include yours truly by the way! Genetic remains found in Montana and even more remains found in Baja California show the original inhabitants of North American were from the Mongolia/Siberian region of Central-Eastern Asia, and from the Australian Aboriginals (mixed Asian/African heritage) from Downunder, some 12,000 year ago. It is clear there are no indigenous people of America.
In short we truly are a land of immigrants…all of us. The politically correct among the U.S. inhabitants will probably have a tissy-fit (A tizzy fit is when a baby freaks out), when they analyze the information I just provided, but the genetic findings do not lie and can be verified with a little research. This will shoot down much of the history-in-hindsight our schools are teaching today that often is used to discredit the greatness of our country while indoctrinating our kids that there is very little good about America in the eyes of academia and through the minds of so-called intellectuals like Ward Churchill and Elizabeth Warren. You see, for liberal-progressives to have gotten as far as they have, according to the Marxist philosophy (also used by your modern era radical community organizers), they must first destroy the people’s dependence on history, religion and self-reliance, and move on to destroy the family unit, before following the step by step path laid out by Karl Marx to defeat capitalism.
The Marxist game Plan…
1.) Abolition of property in land and application of all Rents on land to public purposes. This has become obvious by the takeover of nearly 30% of the U.S. land by the Department of Interior made up of the Bureau of Land Management, National Park Service, Bureau of Indian Affairs, Bureau of Reclamation, and the Fish and Wildlife Service, and other government land owners include the Department of Defense, the US Army Corps of Engineers, and the Tennessee Valley Authority.
2.) A heavy progressive or graduated income tax. This was Marxism’s answer to punishing those who were more successful than others by taking from the rich and giving it to the poor. America’s founders rejected the idea of income taxes all together, however, as power granted to Congress, under Article I, Section 8, spelled out, they alone have the power of taxation. Given such power they felt that the collection of taxes should be collected uniformly with equal protection to all citizens. They stated unequivocally, “that duties, imposts and excises shall be uniform throughout the United States,”. So through decades of abuse, we have allowed the federal government to implement a tax system right up the ally of those fraught with class-envy. From Federalist Paper #10, and in the words of James Madison, “the spirit of party and faction” would prevail if Congress could tax one group of citizens and confer the benefits on another group…and that, “there is, perhaps, no legislative act in which greater opportunity and temptation are given to a predominant party to trample on the rules of justice.”
3.) Abolition of all right of inheritance. While the government hasn’t totally abolished the right to will our property to those we leave behind, they have gone to great strides to tax inheritance to such a degree, that many recipients have been forced to liquidate everything and more just to pay the taxes. I am sure Karl Marx is smiling from his grave at how brilliantly this feat has been accomplished! Liberal progressivism is pure evil, bent on enslavement of the people. Contrary to what Marxists preach – that it is all about equality, it is instead, all about shared misery with only a handful able to achieve the ruling class.
To quote Cicero…”A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known, and he carries his banners openly. But the traitor moves among those within the gates freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very hall of government itself. For the traitor appears no traitor. He speaks in the accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their garments, and he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in hearts of men. He rots the soul of a nation. He works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of a city. He infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A Murderer Is Less To Be Feared.”
4.) Confiscation of the property of all emigrants and rebels. Our government does not normally confiscate property of emigrants, however, many laws and regulations have been passed in recent years which allow government agencies such as the I.R.S., O.S.H.A., Environmental Protection Agency, Bureau of Land Management., and drug enforcement agencies as well as law enforcement agencies in general, to confiscate property from citizens that are considered criminals (rebels). Much of this confiscation is achieved without due process of law.
5.) Centralization of credit in the hands of the state, by means of a national bank with state capital and an exclusive monopoly. While the U.S. does have banking outside of the Federal Reserve Board, there is no more powerful an agency in the country that regulates credit, commerce and controls the means of inflation through the wholesale printing of money, than the Federal Reserve Board. One should consider the FED to be an outlaw agency that has a history of picking winners and losers in our supposedly, free economic system. Their actions in the financial collapse of 2008 and 2009, have done great damage and hindered our country’s economic recovery. The power of the Fed has enabled the Administration to exert more control in violation of the doctrine of the separation of powers as spelled out in the Constitution, than any event that might come to mind.
“Permit me to control the currency of a nation and I care not who makes its laws“. Baron De Rothschild, brainchild of the Federal Reserve Bank.
“If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their money, first by inflation and then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them, will deprive the people of their property until their children will wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.” Thomas Jefferson
6.) Centralization of communication and transport in the hands of the state. With a new push by liberal progressives to regulate and tax Internet transactions; with the excessive regulation of the rail system, the postal system, the Federal Aviation Administration, the Federal Trade Commission, and the Federal Communications System, there is not much “free trade” anywhere to be found in communications or transportation.
7.) Extension of factories and instruments of production owned by the state, the bringing in cultivation of waste lands, and the improvement of the soil generally in accordance with a common plan. Sounds like a perfect fit for the Environmental Protection Agency. With the takeover of the auto industry, healthcare, and bank bailout during the fiscal debacle of 2008-2009, the plan of Marxism is nearly complete.
8.) Equal liability of all to labor. Establishment of industrial armies…call it the Social Security System, women in the workplace being paid equal to men even if output is less that the labor of a man, and now the mandate by the Administration to allow in millions of undocumented low skilled workers from our southern border – especially for agriculture and to fill a perceived need for low paid workers by certain unscrupulous business sectors, we will all pay dearly through the tradition of all Marxist governments of shared misery and lower pay.
9.) Combination of agriculture with manufacturing industries; gradual abolition of the distinction between town and country, by a more equable distribution of population over the country. Big corporation farming is replacing family farming that has been handed down for decades in many parts of the country. Big Farm brings with its genetically modified agricultural production, a greater use of chemical herbicides, and most probably a rise in the prospect of terminal illness, not to mention favorable tax treatment provided by the Big Farm Lobbyists and collusion with farm-belt legislators. Government central planning in urban cities combined with zoning restrictions further diminishes the free use of our personal property.
10.) Free education for all children in public schools. During Marx’s time education in most countries had to be paid for and use of child labor was common. Children generally spent as much, if not more time in labor than in schooling. Marx stated, “Defining by a general law the expenditure on the elementary schools, the qualification of the teaching staff, the branches of instruction, etc., and, as is done in the United States, supervising the fulfillment of these legal specifications by state inspectors, is a very different thing from appointing the state as the educator of the people.”
Be that as it may, Marx believed that education was a fundamental need, and his Marxist organizers operated night and weekend schools to teach reading and spread propaganda. From this it is easy to see that the federal government taking an active role in education was an easy bridge to cross for the same purpose as Marx, not leaving the role to the individual states or the people. Unfortunately for the children of the U.S., government controlling education, has become as unwieldy as every other government run program with vast waste and poor results. Today it takes more than $151,000 to educate one child from kindergarten through 12th grade; more than any other country in the world. Between 1950 and 2009, school enrollment increased 300% while administration and teachers increased by 702%!
The election results of 2014 clearly shows that most Americans are fed up with the experiments of liberal progressives. We have seen the results and now understand why there has never been a successful liberal progressive society anywhere in history, and why such governments can only be held together at the point of a gun…just ask the citizens of Cuba, China, and those under the thumb of Russia.
The vote to approve the latest budget extension in Congress continues to show the arrogance of not just President Obama, but those of Congress as well. Granted the newly elected have not yet been sworn in, but the message sent by the electorate was completely ignored by both Republicans and Democrats. The next election we will see citizens begin to take out the trash meaning those who refuse to obey the will of the people…a step that is necessary to save the country.
“Show me a young Conservative and I’ll show you someone with no heart. Show me an old Liberal and I’ll show someone with no brains” Sir Winston Churchill
